Another round of heavy snow is expected tonight.

Snow and dangerous ice is falling in the south-central US and spreading east. The storm will impact more than 2,000 miles from Texas to New England through the weekend. Freezing rain — this winter storm’s most insidious threat — is falling this morning from parts of Texas into far northern Georgia.
