Follow as a winter storm is expected to bring heavy snowfall, icy roads and cold temperatures from the southern states to the Northeast.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for portions of northern and West Michigan through Tuesday evening as a Clipper system brings accumulating snow, gusty winds and dangerous wind chills across the state.
“Dangerous cold comes this week with several nights featuring single digit temperatures and wind chills below zero,” the National Weather Service said early Monday. “It’s quite rare to get a stretch of temperatures this cold for so long. Take precautions if headed out.”
A winter storm is headed to the Tri-State Area with heavy snow expected. New Yorkers could see 6-12 inches Saturday night into Monday.
